1. Information on data and ID verification for registrars

We have published a guide for registrars about data and ID verification of registrants. The guide explains the verification models, when registrants are required to complete data and/or ID verification, how registrars can view status, and what happens if data and ID verification is not completed.

2. Visible registrant ID status in WHOIS

The public WHOIS database now displays whether the registrant’s ID status has been verified. This is part of our ongoing work to increase transparency and strengthen trust in .dk domain names.

At Punktum dk, we believe that the foundation of trust is transparency. The display of ID status is a direct result of a consultation where the internet community met for an open debate on how we can collectively combat the rise in online fraud.

3. Easy release of AuthID to registrants without login

We have a new features that have been launched to support registrants and registrars in connection with .dk domain name management.

How to easily get the AuthID

Punktum dk is pleased to announce a new improvement to the self-service portal has been implemented on June 10th, 2026.

A new domain name transfer shortcut is now available directly from the front page of the self-service portal. Users can start the domain transfer process immediately using a secure magic link, making the workflow faster and more accessible.

The new feature works by entering the domain name in the green field, after which you will receive a magic link to the self-service portal, directly to the page where you can generate an auth code.

This new feature makes the process clearer for registrants and reduces the need for manual guidance.

Please note that if the customer needs to complete ID and/or data verification, confirm their contact details, and/or pay an invoice, they will be prompted to do this before they are able to generate an Auth ID
