We are pleased to share a set of simplifications that will streamline day‑to‑day processes for registrars and registrants. Release date: Tuesday, 5 May.
We’re introducing improvements to make domain transfers simpler and more flexible in your daily work. Transfers will no longer trigger a data validation (email verification) when moving from registrant management to registrar management.
What’s changing?
Transfers can now be completed even if an ID verification and/or data validation is already in progress
Ongoing validations will continue after the transfer and follow the domain to the new registrar managed user ID
No data validation (email verification) will be triggered during transfers from registrant management to registrar management via the Registrar Portal. This will also be supported for EPP soon.
What does this mean for you?
Less friction during transfers
Transfers can be completed without being blocked by ongoing ID or data validations.
No additional work after the transfer Existing validations continue automatically with the domain and follow it to the new registrar‑managed user ID.
Fewer support cases and follow‑ups Registrants do not need to re‑verify data or take action after the transfer, reducing questions and manual handling.
A smoother and more predictable workflow Transfers become faster, more reliable, and easier to plan in day‑to‑day operations.
These changes are designed to reduce friction and improve the overall transfer experience for both registrars and registrants.
