We have updated Punktum dk's registrar agreement to ensure compliance with the new requirements of the NIS2 directive, which is expected to enter into force on 1 July 2025.
We would therefore ask you to review and sign the updated registrar agreement before June 1, 2025.
Changes to the Registrar Agreement
The NIS2 Directive (Directive (EU) 2022/2555) aims to strengthen cybersecurity and resilience in critical sectors. The most significant changes to the registrar agreement are therefore:
Registrars will be able to carry out data and ID checks. You will have the opportunity to perform data and ID checks of your customers yourself, which means that Punktum dk no longer carries out the checks. It is voluntary if you choose to do data and ID checks. If you wish to do it yourself, you will have to mark it in our system.
Publication of the contact details of registrants and proxies. NIS2 requires the publication of the email address and telephone number of legal person (companies, public authorities, associations and organizations). This means that
For registrants who are legal persons, the email address you obtain must not belong to a specific employee.
For proxies who are legal persons, the email address and telephone number you obtain must not belong to a specific employee.
Email addresses for registrants who are natural persons (private individuals) will not be published.
Further process
Weexpect the technical implementation of NIS2 changes to be sent to you for testing within a short time.
The exact requirements for the data and ID-check are not yet known, as we do not yet know the detailed requirements for this in the Danish legislation. They will therefore be determined at a later stage in a procedure for the Data and ID Verification Supplement.
We kindly ask you to review these changes and sign the updated registrar contract by June 1, 2025.
