We are writing to you to inform you about our registrant database is in the process of being updated for NIS2 compliance, effective July 1, 2025.
A key change is that companies’ registrant email addresses will be publicly accessible in WHOIS from this date. It is therefore crucial that these email addresses do not contain personal data.
What to do
Registrar management
For those of you who registrar manages domain names, you have received a separate email with instructions regarding the necessary update. You can decide whether to contact your customer or ask us to do it.
So, it is essential that you ensure the associated email address for companies is generic. The email address we publish in WHOIS is the one you provide to us.
Registrant management
If you are a registrar not managing .dk domain names, you can still be contacted by registrants. We will proceed with notifying your customers throughout the summer. To minimize the risk of customer service overload for both your organization and ours, we will send these emails in batches. Please be aware that your customers may contact you because of these notifications.
However, the required updates for registrant managed domain namesmust be performed directly in Punktum dk's self-service portal.
