We have just released our latest security report, and we would like to share the key findings with you.
The data confirms that the .dk-zone remains one of the most secure in the world. In a time where digital threats are increasing globally, the Danish domain space stands out due to low abuse rates and effective prevention.
Key figures from the report:
.dk accounts for less than 0.2% of blocked domains: Out of more than 3,500 domains on the Danish blocking lists (Teleindustrien), only 7 were .dk-domains.
Proactive prevention: Last year, we reached out to registrants and webhosters nearly 1,000 times to address potential scams before they could cause harm.
Minimal suspensions: Due to our shared efforts and data and ID-check, only 12 domains were suspended based on our terms, and only one was closed following a court order.
Value for you and your customers
As AI-driven fraud becomes more common and harder to detect, our mandatory data and ID-check serves as a vital layer of protection. For you as a registrar, this means you can offer your customers a product where identity is verified, which significantly reduces the risk of malicious activity on their domains.
Looking ahead: "Trusted Flaggers"
To stay ahead of new types of fraud, we are introducing the "Trusted Flaggers" initiative in 2026. This will allow us to use our data even more effectively to stop abuse in real-time.
